The Book

Buy the book

After years of playing and coaching at the youth level, Christophe Varidel realized that the skills and knowledge developed throughout his rollercoaster basketball years would be of great use to the many pursuing the basketball dream. It is from his reflections about his path as an elite player, his observations as a coach, and his studies on productivity and efficiency that the MyStride Approach came to life.

The book “Win the Day” is a blueprint for any player who dreams big. It offers practical and easy to understand sport psychology concepts, shares thorough knowledge about basketball development through anecdotes and examples, a full self-guided implementation of the MyStride Approach, and its share of motivation.

Christophe Varidel was a 6ft1 1/2 guard from Versoix, Switzerland, with no physical upside whatsoever, but a crazy dream to play college professional basketball.

By always being short-handed athletically, and never attending elite programs (i.e. formation centers or academies), Christophe had to independently develop strategies and creative ways to maximize his potential to stay competitive at challenging levels.

He was able to land a full scholarship at NCAA DI Florida Gulf Coast University, where he enjoyed a fruitful career. He enjoyed a brief career as a professional player oversees and as a member of the Swiss National team before his career ended in 2016 due to recurring knee issues.

This path put him in the position to help younger players chasing their dreams.
